David Lamb started in the utility auditing
business while working as a hotel general manager in 1991.
He noticed irregularities in his hotel’s electric billing and
started investigating. Through a process he developed, he
was able to uncover a programming error in the utility provider’s
software that was affecting literally thousands of businesses.
The result was a sizable refund for his hotel as well as continued
future savings. Though he did not receive any compensation
from this audit, he saw the opportunity to develop this into a
business to assist other businesses with utility and telephone
overcharges. As he gained experience and expertise in the business
expense reduction industry he not only audited basic utilities,
but also added other services to his portfolio. His
background in the hospitality industry is evident in the level of
service he commits to each client.
